I am trying out Junko’s recipe by making just a plain vanilla roll without any decorations. It’s nothing close to the real thing yet, but the sponge recipe is a godsend: does not crack, not too sweet, and serving size is just nice. Bake recipe with either a 25x25cm or 30x30cm pan.
